Entry Level Accounting Clerk
LHH is a professional services firm located in Century City seeking an entry-level Accounting Clerk to support its Trust Accounting function. This role offers an excellent opportunity for candidates to build a foundation in accounting while processing payments, monitoring accounts, and assisting with various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities
Process incoming payments and apply them accurately to client trust accounts
Monitor account balances, reconcile discrepancies, and update ledgers accordingly
Assist with daily bank deposits and tracking of client funds
Maintain accurate and organized trust records in accordance with regulatory requirements
Respond to internal and external inquiries related to trust transactions
Support month-end close processes and assist with audit preparation as needed
Help with general accounting tasks and special projects as assigned by the department
Qualification
Required
0–3 years of accounting, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping experience (internships or coursework accepted)
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow trust accounting protocols
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (a plus)
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow within the role
Preferred
0–3 years of accounting experience preferred
