Cad Designer I

Responsibilities
Able to complete accurate onsite field measurements
Create Power & Communication plans
Obtains daily work assignments from customer
Must be able to produce detailed inventories of all goods exposed to on O&I and install projects
Meet with electrical engineers, architects and the record drawings supervisor to review the updated master drawings changes made
Walks buildings and checks for architectural, electrical and changes and updates master drawings
Updates master drawings with changes found during walk-throughs
Checks all architectural and electrical layers and change according to customer standards
Creates reflected ceiling and lighting plans
Revises electrical panel plans
Meets with electrical engineers on a daily basis to go over new electrical needs
Plots E and B size architectural, electrical and lighting plans per quadrants per building
Completes all paperwork accurately and neatly and turns into operations daily
Must follow all confidentiality rules regarding customer information
Uses a high level of professionalism in verbal and e-mail communication, always seeking to be helpful, to focus on problem solving and arriving at a win-win interaction
Maintain excellent customer service with the customers to establish solid relationships
Handle customer complaints in a timely manner and escalate any pertinent matters to their manager
Must be courteous, helpful, and professional to all existing and potential customers, by interacting with customers in person and via telephone, fax, and email to ensure complete customer satisfaction in all matters related to the operation
Maintain excellent customer service with the customers, vendors, sales, transportation, and operation teams to establish solid relationships
Participates in ongoing training and may assist with training of new employees through cross-functional collaboration between locations
Participate and may lead Six Sigma projects, as required to improve processes and efficiencies
Promote Corovan’s Mission and Vision Statements
Continuously promotes compliance with company policies and procedures
Ensure the highest standards of safety, productivity and customer service are exceedingly daily
Adhere to meal and rest periods per Company policy
Other duties to meet business needs and requirements as assigned
Works with confidential data, which, if disclosed, might have significant internal or external effect
Qualification
Required
BA/BS degree or High School Diploma (or GED) in Mechanical Design or a combination of education and equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in CAD experience required, preferably in commercial facilities design and office relocation
Proficient MS Excel knowledge
Proficient in MS Office applications
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
May be asked to participate in Six Sigma projects
May be asked to complete Mover I, II Supervisor I, II and Project Manager I, II and III level Corovan University training and pass the written tests
May also be required to pass Installer I, II, and III
Preferred
Service industry experience highly desirable
Experience with process improvement teams
Possess a certification from an accredited technical school or college in CAD operations preferred
