Senior Corporate Accountant

Leprino is the world’s largest manufacturer of mozzarella and lactose, seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to strengthen the financial foundation behind their growing cheese and dairy ingredients business. Responsibilities

Build accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and Leprino’s accounting policies
Prepare and record journal entries while maintaining consistent, organized documentation for internal and external audits
Reconcile general ledger accounts, verify data integrity, and help ensure smooth month-end close processes
Analyze financial trends across cost centers and share key insights that help leaders make informed decisions!
Write clear and concise variance explanations for internal partners and quarterly reporting needs
Coordinate the flow of financial data across departments, creating efficient and transparent reporting practices
Research new accounting standards, document findings, and recommend practical updates for adoption
Support the implementation of system improvements in SAP, Blackline, and related tools to enhance efficiency
Develop new processes that simplify reporting and promote collaboration across our finance community
Participate in special projects that help us strengthen accounting consistency and support business growth!

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5 years of accounting experience with a solid foundation in U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
Proficiency using large ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze financial data accurately
Ability to prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and analytical reports within established timelines

Preferred

Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or active CPA candidate
Experience with a Big 10 public accounting firm, with at least two busy seasons
Experience using SAP and Blackline for month-end close, account reconciliation, and reporting enhancements
Familiarity with implementing accounting process improvements and standard methodologies across large organizations
