Program Management Unit Leader

Captive Resources, LLC is seeking a Program Management Unit Leader to manage a team of Program Managers and Associate Program Managers. The role involves performance management, training, and identifying areas of improvement for direct reports while driving operational excellence and supporting program management directives.

Responsibilities

Be visible and engaged with unit personnel while in and out of the office
Balance captive escalations and personnel development to ensure service standards for the captive and personnel responsibilities are both maintained
Support the Program Management directive as it relates to the roles and responsibilities of the Program Management team
Enforce compliance with recurring activities. (i.e. premium reconciliation, collections, etc.)
Hold recurring one-on-one touchpoints with personnel in the unit at least quarterly
Hold monthly meetings as a full unit
Obtain feedback from other departments regarding performance of personnel in the unit
Coach, mentor, and develop staff including time management, delegation and conflict resolution
Develop and conduct performance reviews and career development planning
Interview prospective new hires and participate in hiring decisions
Foster a culture of teamwork and ensure execution of Program Management strategic priorities
Create, lead and promote department trainings
Identify and improve cross-team gaps in processes and communication in conjunction with PM leadership and other Unit Leader(s)
Assist with team and/or enterprise-wide projects
Visible support and commitment to a positive business culture

Required

Bachelor's Degree or equivalency in a related discipline
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the insurance industry or experience relevant to role
Sr. Program Manager level or equivalent competencies
Strong ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse group of team members
Strong work ethic with a drive to succeed
Strong planning and prioritization skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable creating and facilitating presentations to groups
Positive attitude and commitment to support business culture
