Account Executive

Magrino Public Relations is seeking an Account Executive to serve as a liaison between the company and its clients. The role involves implementing PR programs, managing media contacts, and overseeing the account support team while ensuring high-quality written materials.

Responsibilities

Overseeing efforts of the account support team (Intern, AC, SAE, etc.)
Developing leadership/mentoring skills
Understanding the focus and needs of the clients; anticipating client needs in advance
Identifying hot topics for the client and monitoring trends -- proactively initiating coverage of them
Scanning assigned publications daily, clipping pertinent articles and circulating to the team and client
Understanding clients’ products/positioning
Initiating, preparing for and attending client meetings
Writing a variety of materials including timelines, press releases, media alerts, photo captions, client memos, pitch letters, status reports, gossip items, etc
Pitching the media without supervision
Supporting and coordinating press tour logistics
Understanding of the media landscape for each account and ways to navigate
Managing press event logistics, media lists, invites, follow up and RSVP confirmations
Screening media inquiries and arranging interviews
Calling on and tracking editorial calendars for your clients
Editing written materials for quality control, attention to detail, etc

Required

1- 2 years minimum experience in public relations
BA/BS Degree
Requires strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
Attention to Detail – the ability to see and pay attention to details; the ability to recognize the component parts of a procedure or object. And to verify the correctness or error in an individual part or procedure
Consistency and Reliability – the capacity to feel an internal motivation to be conscientious in personal or professional efforts; the need to be consistent and reliable in life roles

Multitasking- the ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once by focusing on one task while keeping track of others, switching back and forth between tasks based on their importance and urgency, balancing and keeping track of multiple tasks at once
Proactive Thinking – the ability to evaluate future implications of current decisions and action; the ability to mentally create the scenarios and outcomes of situations that could develop from decisions or plans of action
Time Management- the ability to prioritize deliverables from high to low priority and submit quality work in a timely manner
Ability to prioritize while simultaneously working on numerous projects
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Detail oriented and results driven
Ability to spot trends and integrate into PR efforts to keep accounts current in the media
