Forensic Structural Engineer - Remote - USA
Talisman Advisory Partners is partnered with a specialized forensic engineering business focusing on examining structural failures and construction defects. The Forensic Structural Engineer will investigate various building issues, conduct inspections, and prepare technical reports while enjoying a flexible work schedule.
Responsibilities
Investigate the root causes of structural failures, foundation settlement, roof damage, water intrusion, and post-event building issues
Conduct field inspections, gather evidence, and document conditions with precision
Prepare detailed technical reports and, where needed, collaborate with legal teams as an expert witness
Balance field work and analysis (roughly 40/60) while enjoying flexibility in scheduling
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering
Active P.E. license in your state
Strong problem-solving instincts and investigative curiosity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deep knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and applicable codes
Preferred
Additional state licenses preferred
NCEES certification is a plus
