Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a respected manufacturing company in Hillsboro, Oregon. The CNC Mill Programmer will be responsible for developing and refining machining programs to support milling operations, ensuring parts are produced accurately and efficiently according to engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

Create and edit programs for vertical, horizontal, and multi-axis milling machines

Use CAM software to generate toolpaths and machining strategies

Interpret engineering drawings to plan sequences of operations

Update and optimize existing programs to improve quality and efficiency

Select tooling and contribute to fixture and work-holding solutions

Prepare setup instructions and documentation for machine operators

Coordinate material requirements with purchasing staff

Work closely with engineers, machinists, and supervisors to support production needs

Manage job priorities and assist with program revisions as needed

Perform additional programming and process-related tasks as assigned

Required

Minimum of 5 years' experience programming with CAM software (Mastercam or comparable platforms)

Knowledge of advanced machining techniques; familiarity with SolidCAM is a plus

Background as a CNC mill machinist; turning experience helpful but not required

Ability to program and machine a variety of metals and plastics

Proficient in blueprint interpretation, machining process planning, and GD&T standards

Strong attention to detail with problem-solving skills

Able to work independently while communicating effectively within a team

Dependable, motivated, and committed to quality work and consistent attendance

Mastercam programming software (2020 or newer): 5 years (Required)

programming CNC mills: 5 years (Required)

Ability to Commute: Hillsboro, OR 97124 (Required)

Preferred

Experience with High Efficiency Machining (HEM)

Experience using SolidCAM software

Experience programming both metals (ferrous/non-ferrous) and plastics

Experience designing fixtures or work-holding solutions for milling operations
