Business Office Manager/Medicaid Coordinator

Confidential company is seeking a skilled Business Office Manager / Medicaid Coordinator to support financial operations and Medicaid-related processes within a long-term care setting in New York State. This role is responsible for overseeing Medicaid eligibility, billing, and reimbursement activities while ensuring effective day-to-day business office operations.

Responsibilities

Manage the Medicaid application process from initial review through approval
Work directly with residents and families to collect, review, and submit required documentation
Liaise with Medicaid offices to monitor application status and respond to information requests
Analyze financial information to support eligibility determinations in compliance with state and federal guidelines
Ensure accurate and timely submission of Medicaid claims and related documentation
Monitor reimbursement activity and address denials, discrepancies, or delays
Coordinate enrollment and ongoing management of Medicaid Managed Care plans
Oversee business office workflows and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures
Support revenue cycle efficiency and identify opportunities to improve cash flow
Supervise, evaluate, and support business office staff performance and development
Maintain complete and accurate records related to Medicaid eligibility and billing activity
Ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Prepare reports and assist with audits, reviews, and internal monitoring efforts

Required

Minimum 1 year of experience in Medicaid eligibility, billing, or reimbursement

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Medicaid or billing management systems
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Nursing home: 1 year (Required)
