Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of actuarial professionals, supporting engagement, performance management, and succession planning

Oversee actuarial modeling and valuation systems (including ALFA) supporting statutory valuation, PBR (VM-20/21/22), ALM analysis, and financial reporting

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including cash flow testing, statutory reserves, modeled RBC, and regulatory filings

Provide clear, reliable actuarial insights that inform business strategy, risk management, profitability, and earnings volatility

Lead valuation and financial reporting for Statutory and Tax financials, including governance, controls, and documentation

Partner with Product, Finance, Investments, and Risk teams on ALM metrics, reinsurance structures, and solvency risk assessment (ORSA)

Monitor regulatory developments and recommend enhancements to actuarial and financial reporting processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics, Accounting, Computer Science, Quantitative Mathematics, or a related field

10+ years of experience in actuarial valuation, modeling, or financial reporting

3+ years of people management or leadership experience

Experience within insurance or financial services (annuities and life insurance strongly preferred)

FSA or ASA designation required

Strong leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across teams and levels

Advanced analytical, quantitative, and actuarial modeling expertise

Deep understanding of statutory valuation and PBR frameworks (AG 33, VM-20/21/22)

Experience with ALM analysis, asset projections, and fixed-income investment structures

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
