Responsibilities
Conduct on-site evaluations, evaluate data, and work with Project Managers to create/implement risk reduction controls in alignment with innovative H&S programs, Federal and State regulations, and general risk reduction principles
Produce detailed surveys for each visit. Follow standardized procedures to ensure consistent communication and collaboration with key stakeholders
Provide risk assessment services and information to track progress and demonstrate the value of doing business with Liberty Mutual
Position requires occasional early morning/late evening appointments and occasional weekend work
The position does require travel up to 50% travel to customer locations managing multiple projects simultaneously
Assist client in establishing Safety Program requirements at new facilities and support any changes necessary at facility modernization projects
Complete other advanced level administrative projects upon request related to: Health & Safety Program Development; Risk Assessment and Reduction; Thought Leadership in these disciplines beyond assigned workload
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with coursework in math, engineering, or related areas (or equivalent)
Advanced knowledge, skills and experience in service planning and delivery, risk assessment, risk analysis, solutions management, and progress measurement
Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with customers, peers, and industry contacts; proficient in managing multiple projects at different locations, the ability to interact and influence change within all levels of an organization, especially business executives; a strong team orientation; and commitment to continuous improvement
Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, AI etc.)
Demonstrated ability to retrieve and enter information using various proprietary software applications and create/modify documents and complex spreadsheets using Microsoft Office suite
Position requires regular travel
Preferred
Five to seven years of directly related consulting experience in risk control or progressive safety/heath field experience is preferred
Advanced degree and/or professional certification in one or more of the following areas: CSP, ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIH, CPE
Risk control consulting experience in the field of logistics and transportation
Preference for candidates with convenient access to major airports in the Eastern United States and routinely available for overnight travel that may be up to 50%
