Responsibilities
Transcribe and edit physician notes, exams, and plans in real-time or from dictation
Enhance physician efficiency by accurately transcribing and editing dictated notes, medical reports, and correspondence
Collaborate with POD teammates to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient care
Accurately enter clinical data, orders, and billing information into the EMR
Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure documentation accuracy
Handwrite notes for later data entry if needed
Assist with clerical and limited patient-facing support (e.g., providing instructions, assisting with transfers)
Compliance with policies and procedures and actively promote a collaborative clinic culture
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a calm, respectful demeanor
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Solid time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment in unexpected or high-stress situations
Proficiency in medical software and computer systems; preferred typing speed of 50+ WPM
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Preferred
Minimum 2 years of office or clinical experience preferred
Medical terminology and EMR experience are strongly preferred
Scribing/Transcriptionist background is a plus
Knowledge of medical terminology; familiarity with ICD-10/CPT codes preferred
