Responsibilities
Oversee team performance and retention, through coaching and ensuring appropriate employee training
Hire, onboard, and train new team members, as needed, to ensure staffing levels meet customer demands
Successfully execute plans to meet objectives in Safety, Service, Profitability, and Development
Partner with internal resources and customers for successful customer account management
Manage safety-related actions and documents, inspections, codes, design layouts, and security procedures
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by creating and following standard operating procedures
Cultivate and build the LEAN culture through continuous process improvements
Analyze building financial and productivity/efficiency reports to control and manage direct expenses
Review other WSI facility methods and keep up to date on safety and operational changes
Qualification
Required
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to respond to requests promptly and resolve issues quickly
Ability to lead a diverse workforce; effectively develop employees, and communicate objectives
Available during non-standard hours, access to a cell phone, and able to respond to after-hour emergencies
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, and technology equipment including WMS and (RF) Scanners
Maintain professional and technical knowledge to implement warehouse safety and training programs
Bachelor's degree
Minimum three years of previous leadership experience
Minimum three years of experience working in a warehouse environment
Ability to use hands and fingers for computer keyboarding and answer phone calls
Ability to communicate via the telephone using speaking and hearing skills
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company
