Responsibilities
Assist in ordering and maintaining raw materials, packaging, supplies, etc., including comparing pricing, quality, and delivery time
Help with preparing, issuing, and tracking Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring accuracy in quantities, pricing, and deliveries
Monitor inventory levels of supplies and incoming raw materials
Coordinate with operations, warehouse, and quality control to confirm receipt of goods; check for discrepancies between POs and deliveries (quantity, damage, quality)
Maintain up-to-date records of supplier performance metrics, and relevant compliance/food safety documentation if required
Support Vendor Communication
Support compliance with food safety, organic, or other certification requirements as needed (vendor documentation, traceability, etc.)
Generate regular reports on purchasing metrics, vendor performance, and spend by category
Liaise with internal departments (e.g., production, warehouse, QA) regarding material specifications, substitutions, or purchasing-related changes
Qualification
Required
Experience in procurement and supply chain operations
Ability to manage ordering and maintaining raw materials, packaging, supplies, etc
Skills in comparing pricing, quality, and delivery time
Experience in preparing, issuing, and tracking Purchase Orders (POs)
Ability to ensure accuracy in quantities, pricing, and deliveries
Skills in monitoring inventory levels of supplies and incoming raw materials
Experience coordinating with operations, warehouse, and quality control
Ability to confirm receipt of goods and check for discrepancies
Skills in maintaining records of supplier performance metrics
Knowledge of compliance/food safety documentation
Experience in vendor communication
Ability to support compliance with food safety, organic, or other certification requirements
Skills in generating reports on purchasing metrics and vendor performance
Ability to liaise with internal departments regarding material specifications
Ability to work Monday through Friday, during the 1st shift
