Responsibilities
Research target partners and labels; gather and process data on the US independent music market
Organize deal flow across active conversations, memorializing terms and tracking statuses
Cultivate a network of contact within the independent music community, and make creative connections with a goal of drawing incremental business
Liaise between deal team, label management, and operations teams to coordinate onboarding for new clients
Set pitch meetings with the wider team, distilling context internally and preparing decks as needed
Produce and maintain reports and charts to communicate deal strategies and track progress
Qualification
Required
You are highly organized with a strong attention to detail and follow up, & can work in a team environment
You have excellent interpersonal skills
You can work under pressure, communicate effectively, and deliver on deadlines
You are experienced with A&R research
You are a problem solver, with the ability to reach out the right people to work through roadblocks and accelerate timelines
Preferred
A college degree
1-3 years experience in independent music distribution space and/or at traditional record labels in an A&R research capacity
