Responsibilities
Assist with all aspects of trust administration, probate, and related court proceedings, including: Communicating with clients and beneficiaries, Preparing deeds, asset spreadsheets, federal estate tax returns, gift tax returns, Drafting correspondence and other legal documents
Support attorneys in estate planning matters, including: Preparing draft estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, certifications of trust, funding documents), Organizing client intake materials, Assisting in plan implementation and trust funding
Collect, organize, and maintain client documents and information for trust administration, probate, and estate planning matters
Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive client information
Perform calendaring duties for meetings, deadlines, hearings, and trial-related dates
Handle additional tasks as needed
Qualification
Required
Minimum 4 years of Trusts & Estates paralegal experience
Strong knowledge of Trust Administration, Probate, and Estate Planning
Excellent organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred
Experience with matter management, document management, or accounting software is a plus
Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred, but candidates with significant relevant experience will be considered
