United Surgical Partners International, Inc is a healthcare provider focused on delivering first-class ambulatory solutions. They are seeking a Fulltime GI Technician who will assist the Registered Nurse in preparing patients for surgical procedures and caring for them post-operatively.

Responsibilities

Assists the Registered Nurse in preparing the patient for surgery and assists with post-op care

Checks pre/ post op area for cleanliness and orderliness

Brings the patient to pre-op area and assists with changing if needed

Takes vital signs

Makes sure all pre-op testing, H&P, and necessary paperwork are on chart prior to surgical procedure

Transports patients to and from procedure rooms

Maintains supplies and equipment

Restocks carts

Directs family members

Includes family / patient in post-op instructions

Coordinates patient transportation

Performs other duties as requested or assigned

Participates in QAPI, Infection Control and Safety Program

Qualification

GI proceduresVital signs monitoringPatient transportationHealthcare experienceCommunication skills

Required

High school graduate required

Experience or interest in healthcare industry

Knowledge of GI procedures

Preferred
