Responsibilities

Develop custom Salesforce applications, components, and integrations using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and API services
Collaborate with consultants and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
Implement complex business logic, workflows, triggers, and automation
Build and maintain secure, scalable integrations with external systems
Ensure solutions adhere to Salesforce best practices and federal security and compliance standards
Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and release management
Maintain documentation, technical designs, and deployment procedures
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed solutions

Required

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust Clearance
Salesforce Platform Developer I and Salesforce Administrator (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
Bachelor's degree + 5 years of Salesforce or relevant software development experience, OR Associate's degree + 7 years of Salesforce or relevant software development experience, OR High School Diploma/GED + 9 years of Salesforce or relevant software development experience
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and its capabilities, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, SOQL, SOSL and REST APIs
Experience interacting with REST and SOAP services using XML and JSOM
Strong knowledge of the Salesforce Apex HTTP, HTTPRequest and HTTPResponses classes
Knowledge of Salesforce integration tools and techniques, such as Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, or Informatica Cloud
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

Preferred

Current VA Public Trust Clearance
Platform Developer II, Advanced Administrator, or Salesforce App Builder
Experience supporting federal government agencies or working in a consulting environment
Experience supporting Salesforce deployments using structured DevOps and CI/CD practices (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Git-based workflows)
Familiarity with Salesforce security, compliance, and FedRAMP requirements
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams
