Lead Engineer - Materials Behavior

Responsibilities

Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies, or systems that meet business standards and program/product requirements
Provide technical guidance to personnel supporting the assigned project
Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
Document technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related Engineering/Science field from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 3 years Disciplinary Engineering and/or Science experience or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Disciplinary Engineering and/or Science experience

Preferred

Masters of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering position
Experience in metallic or composite mechanics
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
Solid oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
PC proficiency
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to analyze and resolve problems
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
