Responsibilities
Ensuring daily compliance and resolving daily construction related issues
Ensure quality in all inspections in an efficient manner
Manage team assignments and balance workload in a deadline driven environment
Provide vision and guidance to the firm in the area of inspections
Provide technical assistance to staff and clients I resolving problems
Verify that materials, equipment, and procedures are as specific for the project, as well as testing of procedure qualification test results
Building and managing client relationships
Lead projects to ensure they are on-schedule and on budget
Must have an understanding of specifications required for given projects
Communicate with clients, contractors, other inspectors and supervisors regarding specifications and qualifications
Review shop drawings and onsite safety and quality of construction work per the contract specifications
Mentor and develop staff
Travel to work sites
Prepare written reports in accordance with qualification tests
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or similar discipline
10 years' experience in inspections engineering in New Jersey and Pennsylvania
Valid driver's license
E.I.T. license required
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Independent and critical thinking abilities
The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management
Basic IT literacy and the ability to manage and communicate electronic data
Problem-solving and decision-making skills, plus the ability to speak laterally
Self-starter who can work independently and with team members
Preferred
PE license preferred
