Responsibilities
Manage the Compliance Program to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations governing property and casualty insurance
Monitor regulatory developments and advise senior leadership on new laws, regulatory changes, and potential compliance risks
Conduct periodic compliance risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective mitigation strategies across product, underwriting, claims, and distribution channels
Research applicable laws and develop policies, procedures, and controls to minimize compliance risks across all business lines
Lead other strategic priorities as assigned by senior leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of compliance experience within the property and casualty insurance industry
In-depth knowledge of insurance regulations, including state insurance codes, NAIC standards, and applicable federal regulations (e.g., GLBA, HIPAA, TCPA)
Strong understanding of the insurance product lifecycle, from underwriting and policy issuance to claims handling
Proven ability to assess risks, develop compliance strategies, and manage cross-functional teams
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for engaging with senior management, regulators, and employees
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred
Certification as a Compliance Professional (CRCM or equivalent)
Experience with compliance management software or tools
Familiarity with minimum limits auto insurance
