The Bronx County District Attorney Office is dedicated to serving the Bronx community through its mission of pursuing justice with integrity. They are offering a full-time summer internship program for college students to experience hands-on tasks related to the criminal justice system, under the supervision of legal professionals.

Responsibilities

College interns are given hands-on tasks that will familiarize them with the criminal justice system through the perspective of the prosecutor

Interns will aid in discovery, may observe witness interviews, hearings, and trials, listen to and transcribe 911 calls, and review police reports

Depending on their assignment, interns may participate in arrest intake processing, evaluations of notifications of child abuse or endangerment, or assisting in the review of materials to be disclosed to the defense

The interns will attend lectures and participate in a training program alongside the law student interns

Required

Current college sophomores or junior students with a GPA of 3.0 or above

Selected candidates will have to pass a background check before the start of the internship

If you have already graduated from college or are graduating in May or June of 2026, you may not apply
