The role involves collaborating closely with the finance organization, preparing and reviewing journal entries, overseeing account reconciliations, and ensuring quality work from staff accountants.

Responsibilities

Preparation and review of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and analytics over significant account balances, including cash, debt, and accruals
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics, and other work assigned to and prepared by staff accountants
Assist with the optimization of accounting procedures and special projects, as required
Fielding and resolving inquiries from management, other departments within Hyatt, and external auditors
Contribute to compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, including documentation of process areas and testing of key controls
Reviewing quarterly schedules for external reporting
Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's core values

Qualification

Corporate accounting experienceCertified Public AccountantFinancial ERP systemsBachelor’s degree in accountingPC skillsSupervisory experienceMaster’s degree in finance

Required

3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or other equivalent business/financial role
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other related field
Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office

Preferred

Master's degree in accounting, finance, or business
Certified Public Accountant
Supervisory responsibilities or other experience that requires ensuring the quality of work delivered by other individuals
Financial ERP systems (Oracle, Hyperion)
