Responsibilities

Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
Monitor the quality of construction work
Approve or reject construction materials and workmanship
Investigate and resolve construction problems
Prepare reports and documentation
Communicate with clients, contractors, other inspectors and supervisors regarding specifications and qualifications
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification

Construction codes knowledgeConstruction inspection experienceProblem-solving skillsCommunication skillsBasic IT literacyIndependent thinkingTime management

Required

2+ years' experience in construction, engineering and/or architecture in New Jersey and Pennsylvania
Valid driver's license
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Independent and critical thinking abilities
The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management
Basic IT literacy and the ability to manage and communicate electronic data
Problem-solving and decision-making skills, plus the ability to speak laterally
Self-starter who can work independently and with team members
