EAP Special Projects & Communications Specialist #5549
The United States Senate Sergeant at Arms is seeking an EAP Special Projects and Communications Specialist to join their Employee Assistance and Wellbeing team. This role involves managing multiple projects and collaborating with stakeholders to create strategic marketing plans and dynamic web content aimed at enhancing employee wellbeing.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Develops and maintains communications and promotional materials that elevate the visibility and impact of Employee Assistance and Wellness programs, including written content, resource tools, and digital assets
Manages timely updates and content administration for the EAP website, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with program objectives and organizational standards
Coordinates and monitors workflow processes for communication requests, overseeing review, approval, and dissemination to ensure efficient and consistent messaging across platforms
Supports program development efforts by preparing engaging training presentations, contributing to project planning activities, and assisting with the rollout of new initiatives and services
Collaborates effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver administrative and content-development support
Other duties, as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
At least 2 years of experience in health/wellness communications and/or project coordination

Knowledge of communication and content-development principles, including writing, editing, messaging, and branding best practices
Understanding project coordination and workflow management processes, including tracking systems, review cycles, and quality-control procedures
Familiarity with digital content management, including website maintenance practices and basic principles of user experience
General understanding of employee assistance programs (EAP) or human-services environments
Strong professional writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and engaging content for diverse audiences
Proficient in communication and design tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe or similar platforms, and web content management systems
Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills, enabling productive partnerships with multidisciplinary teams
Creative problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to refine processes and improve communication products
Proficient in using technology to streamline work processes and enhance productivity and demonstrates aptitude for learning and applying new technology and digital tools
Preferred
Familiarity with workplace wellness programs, EAPs, and/or community health and wellness marketing
High attention to detail
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects, tight deadlines and stakeholder relationships
Experience working in confidential settings
