Responsibilities
Subject Matter Expertise in tobacco and vaping cessation programs
Strong leadership and supervisory skills (able to manage staff such as the Pregnancy Smoking Cessation Program Director 1)
Ability to develop training and orientation programs for new staff
Experience with contract management (Quitline service provider, Tennessee Primary Care Association, etc.)
Budget development and monitoring skills to ensure proper fund allocation
Skilled in technical assistance delivery to grantees and partners statewide
Strong communication skills for engaging staff, stakeholders, and community partners
Ability to plan professional development opportunities tailored to grantee needs
Competence in data collection, analysis, and reporting for state and federal requirements
Experience in resource development and dissemination (tobacco control materials)
Ability to collaborate with epidemiologists to integrate data into program planning
Strong stakeholder engagement and coalition-building skills

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in: Public Health, Education, Or a closely related field
Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible professional health program work
At least 2 years of supervisory experience or statewide program oversight
Proven track record in program management, evaluation, and implementation within public health
Public Health: 5 years (Required)
