Project Designer - Civil/Structural
Signal Energy is a company that provides comprehensive power solutions through experienced professionals. They are seeking a Project Designer – Civil/Structural responsible for designing electrical power substations and creating detailed civil/structural design drawings.

Responsibilities
Create and revise design drawings of high voltage transmission and distribution substations including:
Site plans
Foundation plans and details
Structural Steel plans and fabrication details
Peer review of other’s drawings
Maintain drawing files – archived, current and working revisions
Update drawings to field as-built conditions
Teach and mentor young designers and/or new employees on civil/structural design and company practices
Participate in the development and review of company standards and design tools to optimize design applications
Provide project support/office support as required
Occasional travel to field sites or working at a client’s office may be required
Qualification
Required
5+ Years' Experience in Design of Transmission Level Substations (13.8kV – 500 kV) including: Site plans, Foundation plans and details, Structural Steel plans and fabrication details
Good written and verbal communications skills
Ability to work well with others in a team setting
Skilled in problem solving in time-sensitive situations
AutoCAD (2015 or later) – Advanced, required
Preferred
Associates Degree in Civil Engineering/Technology preferred, but not required
MicroStation – Advanced/Intermediate, preferred
Microsoft Word – Intermediate
Microsoft Excel – Intermediate
Microsoft Outlook – Intermediate
