Responsibilities

Ensuring that a system works as intended includes the development of key processes to handle requirements flow-down management, requirement verification planning, and system element interface requirements definition

Systems engineers are involved in all phases of the product lifecycle including architecture development, interfaces, fault management analysis and design, requirements decomposition, verification planning, and on-orbit operation procedure development

Systems engineers also provide production support by reviewing test data during critical test phases and overseeing the resolution of production anomalies

Specific tasks may include systems budgets, gated review preparation, supporting systems engineers in Bus production (data review, anomaly resolution), manage top-level systems budgets (under supervision) for new program proposals, support V&V (validation and verification) close-out activities for bus deliveries, create command sequence generation tools, work on bus element interface control documentation

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with completion of 2 years or more, or currently enrolled in a master's degree program in electrical, mechanical or aerospace engineering, or physics
