Marshall Intern Credentialing Program
Summit Public Schools is offering the Marshall Intern Credentialing Program, which provides a pathway for school employees to earn a Single Subject teaching credential. Interns will serve as teachers of record while completing credentialing coursework and receive support through mentoring and collaboration.

Responsibilities
Engage in Values-Aligned Credentialing Coursework: Starting with a summer intensive and continuing throughout the school year, you’ll gather with a diverse cohort of interns to master the credentialing coursework. Led by expert faculty, coursework is project-based and immediately applicable to your classroom and students. The instruction you’ll receive reflects our core values, including deep self-reflection, culturally responsive teaching methods, and conversations about equity and inclusion
Serve as a Teacher of Record: Intern teachers serve as full-time teachers of record for two years while completing the requirements for a California Preliminary Single Subject Teaching Credential. As a full-time teacher of record, you'll receive a salary and benefits from your employer
Mentoring and Collaboration: You’ll benefit from multiple levels of support on your journey, including 1:1 mentoring, in-classroom coaching, and a connected community of peers. You will examine how theory from the coursework applies to what’s happening in your classroom. You’ll receive personalized support through coaching and mentorship. And, you’ll learn from other interns’ experiences across different school sites while building a professional network
Qualification
Required
Possess a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Be eligible to work in the United States
Be employed as a full-time teacher of record at a Marshall Intern Program partner school in the San Francisco Bay Area
Have prior experience as a full time teacher of record, long-term substitute, and/or an instructional aide
