Special Projects Procurement & Distribution Specialist
Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Special Projects Procurement & Distribution Specialist to join their North American Disaster Relief team. In this role, you will support Special Projects objectives by managing procurement and distribution needs in the aftermath of disasters, while fostering relationships with strategic partners.

Responsibilities
Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
Support Special Projects and NADR objectives by preparing for and deploying immediately following a disaster, managing procurement and distribution needs that include a Special Projects response. Initiate proactive action to procure services and products as required
Lead the process of researching equipment purchases and supply orders and execute all required transactional paperwork in a time sensitive manner. Assist with the maintenance of the detailed records of bids, quotes, analyses and reconciliation associated with procurement activities
In conjunction with the Manager, Special Projects, train select audiences (primarily PMs, APMs and SLTs) regarding Special Projects procurement processes in order for them to augment the Special Projects capability when disasters arise. In addition, assist the Manager, Special Projects with the development of training materials and the execution of training for other Special Projects-related training
Build relationships and work closely with all teams across NADR (Fleet Teams, Program Managers, Assistant Program Mangers, Finance, Training, etc.)
Assist in fostering and maintaining relationships with strategic vehicle, camper, furniture and other partners
Build trust and collaborate/negotiate within the vendor community
Participate in Air Response Team (ART) training and coordinate with the ART during deployments where air distribution is required
Provide written daily updates and contributes to After Action Reviews (AARs) following each deployment

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and two (2) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Serve as an effective member of a team
Ability to work well under pressure in difficult situations
Highly effective communication skills including written and oral
Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions
General knowledge of Excel and Word, and ability to learn in-house specialized computer applications
Fluency in English
Preferred
Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies preferred, not required
