Responsibilities
Review designs, perform engineering calculations, and analyze civil, structural, and marine construction projects
Develop, assess, and authorize engineering drawings, technical documentation, and project specifications
Provide technical guidance and engineering support to project managers, estimators, and field teams
Conduct feasibility studies, risk analyses, and constructability assessments
Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and permits
Support proposal preparation through technical input, scope verification, and delivery of engineering documentation
Facilitate communication between English- and Korean-speaking stakeholders to ensure accurate technical understanding
Translate engineering reports, technical documents, and correspondence to maintain alignment across project teams
Attend project meetings, technical reviews, and site inspections as required
Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team
Other duties may be assigned as necessary
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering required
Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the U.S. required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil, industrial, or marine construction engineering
Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English, both written and spoken
Strong expertise in construction materials, methods, and industry standards (ASTM, AASHTO, API, etc.)
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft 365, and other engineering design software
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening
Civil engineering: 5 years (Required)
Korean (Required)
Preferred
Master's degree is preferred
Licensure in Louisiana or Texas preferred
Construction Standards: 5 years (Preferred)
AutoCAD: 5 years (Preferred)
Professional Engineer (Preferred)
