System Administrator
Sight & Sound is an organization comprised of diverse talents united to tell stories through their work. The System Administrator role is responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure, ensuring adherence to organizational values.

Responsibilities
Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide scalable solutions
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
Build and maintain secure systems
Provide escalation, problem management, and investigate and troubleshoot issues
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted users / departments
Qualification
Required
Ability to communicate and discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues
Highly tuned troubleshooting and analysis skills are necessary to this role
Ability to move easily between complex issues, keeping focus on needs and responding well to demanding moments
Stay current with training and awareness around changing business needs and the appropriate technology to meet and exceed those needs
Willingness to operate as part of a team
