Responsibilities

Understand the instruments within the security portfolios, along with their specific properties, and how they fit into the overall Bank strategy

Utilize the Bloomberg system to produce historical economic data, and update the security portfolios as transactions are executed, along with other associated reports and analysis

Responsible for the Bank’s monthly investment and wholesale borrowing reporting

Prepare the investment and wholesale borrowing presentations for weekly ALCO, monthly Investment Strategy Committee, Bi-Monthly Board Presentations, and quarterly Peer analysis

Evaluate listing of FHLB Advances, market value and calculate weighted average rate, term, etc. of all Advances

Facilitate the transfer of securities through the Federal Reserve and / or other correspondent banks when transactions settle

Ensure proper settlement of securities by communicating with brokers and maintaining detailed records of transactions

Responsible for oversight of the bond accounting system and ensure accuracy and prompt distribution of information to the Accounting Department and Chief Investment Officer monthly

Prepare necessary reports for the internal and external auditors, regulators, etc

Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required
