They are seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer Intern to participate in testing activities, assist in designing and building test equipment, and work on process efficiency improvements within a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities
Configure and use data acquisition equipment, power supplies, controllers, and software for upcoming tests in the lab
Assemble electrical and mechanical components, bus work, and wiring with the use of hand tools (e.g. drill, screwdriver, wrench, crimper)
Troubleshoot and maintain the lab’s equipment
Assist and guide other departments working in the lab on the use of the lab’s equipment
Assemble custom test equipment or fixtures for upcoming tests in the lab
Occasionally operate energized equipment
Occasionally travel for training
Work in a team environment with engineers from throughout the company
Qualification
Required
Be enrolled full-time in a bachelor's degree or master's degree program, majoring in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
0-1 years of experience configuring and using electrical and/or mechanical equipment including power supplies, controllers, software, bus work, and wiring
Occasionally standing and lifting 10 to 40 pounds
Frequent walking to different areas of the lab
Occasional carrying of bulky items weighing up to 40 pounds
Occasional use of pallet jack, lifting device, or tugger to move equipment. Operating test switches
Frequent bending required when doing test setups and assembly
Occasional reaching when doing test setups and assembly
Use of power tools and a computer keyboard and mouse
Occasionally working in control rooms and test cells that may not be air conditioned
Preferred
Desired but not required: coursework in power systems, distribution and/or transmission systems, AC machines, energy systems
