The Town of Natick is seeking a Town Engineer to lead the Engineering Division within the Department of Public Works (DPW). The role involves managing major infrastructure projects, providing engineering authority, and overseeing the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of various public works assets.

Responsibilities

Makes engineering decisions, provides direction, reviews plans and designs for Town infrastructure, MADOT projects in Natick, and new development in Natick

Prioritizes, assigns, and coordinates engineering personnel to complete division tasks and objectives

Development of the annual operating and capital budgets in conjunction with Executive Director. Provides financial analysis of ongoing projects and contracts

Maintains plans and as-built conditions of Town infrastructure including but not limited to roads, record plans, piping infrastructure, GIS data, right of way and other similar records

Authorizes utility and street construction permits, enforcement of rules and regulations with developers, contractors, residents, and other stakeholders

Required

Must hold a current Massachusetts PE license and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field

10 years of professional engineering experience, at least two (2) of which must be in a supervisory capacity

A combination of education, experience, and training can be considered if it is demonstrated that the required knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved

Have and maintain a Class D Motor Vehicle Driver's License
