Network Support Technician

Tillman FiberCo is building a 100% fiber network to support the next generation of broadband services. They are seeking a Network Support Technician to monitor system health, manage support tickets, and provide customer support while collaborating with vendors and team members.

Responsibilities

Monitor, alert, and report on system and infrastructure health

Open, review, resolve, manage, close support tickets

Perform troubleshooting steps to triage, investigate and mitigate system issues

Handle phone calls from customers while on shift

Work within ticket system to track issues to resolution

Respond to Network Maintenance notifications by creating Maintenance Tickets

Escalate events based on established operational policies

Provide customer support and appropriately respond to customer needs

Act as a liaison between Vendors for open vendor support requests

Execute complex support tickets/tasks with the supervision/help of a Systems Engineer and/or Support Engineer

Required

High School/GED (Required)

Basic understanding of IP and FTTX networks

Experience with Microsoft desktop operating systems

Experience with Office 2016 or later required

Ability to research solutions to various issues on web sites or using other technical sources

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to Prioritize multiple tasks effectively

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred

Microsoft, A+, Network+ CCNA certifications PREFERRED

2 Year Degree in a technical field (Preferred)

Bilingual (English/Spanish Preferred)
