Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of litigation such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings and various motions and briefs, conducting and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending court appearances
Provide advice and counsel on workplace law issues related to PAGA and wage & hour claims; employee relations, mitigation of risk, advice and maintain communications with clients concerning employment matters relating to PAGA, wage and hour claims, provide strategic advice on employment compliance, labor code risks, and litigation trends

Required

Minimum of two years of relevant experience related to PAGA and Wage & Hour Litigation defense
Excellent written skills, demonstrated by clear, persuasive motion practice and well-reasoned legal analysis
Excellent communications skills demonstrated by experience and the ability to communicate complex legal issues to clients in a practical, solution-focused manner
Admission to practice law in California is mandatory
Juris Doctor Degree or LLM (Master of Laws) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
At least 2 years' experience handling all aspects of litigation such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings and various motions and briefs, conducting, and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending court appearances
Experience providing advice and counsel on workplace law issues related to PAGA and wage & hour claims; employee relations, mitigation of risk, advice and maintain communications with clients concerning employment matters relating to PAGA, wage and hour claims, provide strategic advice on employment compliance, labor code risks, and litigation trends
