Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Prepare journal entries for various financial transactions including intercompany and foreign exchange transactions
Reconcile intercompany balances across multiple legal entities to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
Assess and analyzes gain or loss on foreign currency transactions
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Provide detailed support and documentation for external audits
Efficiently create accounting documents, reports, and reconciliations using spreadsheets, databases, and accounting software in a timely fashion
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards
Collaborate with other departments to address financial inquiries and provide support as needed
Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounting function
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles
Solid understanding of accounting principles and knowledge of the fundamentals associated with different functional areas of accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (experience with Microsoft d365 or similar ERP systems is a plus)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively within established timeframes in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to convey accounting concepts to non-accounting business partners
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Preferred
Knowledge of international accounting concepts, including intercompany transactions and foreign currency considerations
