Responsibilities

Create estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations, at all levels of project development
Provide conceptual-level estimates, detailed quantity take-off, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions as necessary
Provide a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate client’s project and strategic goals
Ensure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC procedures
Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goals
Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining accuracy of cost information
Support business development efforts by developing, promoting, and maintaining client relationships through the creation of cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, presentations, etc

Required

5-7 years as a cost estimating professional, preferably as a consultant, to include, but not limited to conceptual estimating, take-offs, change order review/reconciliation, value engineering solutions, etc
Prior electrical estimating in complex instructional projects highly required
Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Proficient user of On-Screen Takeoff (OST) software or similar quantity takeoff software
A bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or architecture
