Responsibilities
Provide mechanical and structural engineering analysis in support of crane inspections, certifications, and repairs
Evaluate structural, mechanical, and load-bearing components of cranes and related equipment
Review inspection findings and develop engineering recommendations for corrective actions
Support load testing, condition inspections, and certification activities as required
Review OEM documentation, drawings, and technical manuals
Prepare and review technical reports, engineering assessments, and supporting documentation
Coordinate with senior engineers, inspectors, and Government representatives
Support audits, evaluations, and quality assurance activities
Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable safety, security, and access requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Civil Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience supporting mechanical or structural systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and codes
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
Provide mechanical and structural engineering analysis in support of crane inspections, certifications, and repairs

Ability to lift engineering tools or equipment as needed
Preferred
Experience supporting Navy, DoD, or industrial facilities
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
Familiarity with NAVFAC P-307 or similar industrial standards preferred
