Main Line Health is seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow II to work in the lab of Amy Rosenfeld at the Lankenau Institute of Medical Research. This research scientist position focuses on Viral Pathogenesis and Immunobiology, investigating anti-enterovirus immune responses and developing immune competent animal models to enhance understanding of virus pathogenesis.

Responsibilities

Work as a research scientist position I or II on Viral Pathogenesis and Immunobiology
Study the cross-reactive anti-enterovirus immune response and its role in viral pathogenesis
Investigate novel platforms for antigen delivery
Isolate cross-species anti-enterovirus antibodies and investigate the mechanisms by which these antibodies may affect virus pathogenesis
Establish immune competent animal models for enteroviruses for which none exist
Determine if the mechanisms of pathogenesis are conserved among this species of viruses

Required

Highly motivated candidates with PhD or MD/PhD degree
Candidates with research experience in microbiology, virology, immunology, animal models of infectious disease, single cell sequencing, molecular modeling of protein interactions and bioinformatics or molecular/cell biology methodologies including but not limited to recombinant protein production and CRISPR/Cas are encouraged to apply
For basic and clinical research: Ph.D. degree in biological sciences or MD required
