Responsibilities
Oversees the definition of architecture requirements for all information systems, covering both functional and non-functional (i.e., performance, reliability, security) aspects
Defines and documents the key architectural concepts, abstractions and the target system architecture, spanning application, information/data and technical infrastructure
Selects strategic tools and platforms for development, testing and deployment
Ensures the communication of principle technical drivers such as trends, best practice, setting and applying standards
Defines technical objectives, goals, constraints, key features and overall architecture approach
Mentors technical staff
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of related experience Or 10 plus years of related experience
Ensure network designs comply with security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements
Architect connectivity between multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises data centers
Evaluate network hardware/software vendors and manage licensing and cost optimization
Expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, and WAN optimization
Strong knowledge of IPv6, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and network virtualization
Preferred
IT experience designing architectures and delivering information systems including data/information architecture, technical infrastructure, architecture and application architecture
Develop and maintain enterprise-wide network architecture aligned with business goals and technology strategies
Design scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions for hybrid environments (on-premises, cloud, and edge)
Partner with Enterprise Network Services organization to create long-term network technology roadmaps
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend integration strategies
Familiarity with cloud networking, SDN, and micro-segmentation
Certifications like CCIE, AWS Advanced Networking, or Azure Network Engineer Associate are often preferred
Experience with TOGAF (certification preferred) enterprise architecture framework and governance practices
