Senior Engineer

Responsibilities

Support and manage sediment remediation projects and task orders including feasibility studies, pre-design investigations, treatability/pilot studies, remedial design, and remedial actions
Communicate and interact with project clients, vendors, and subcontractors
Support the development and implementation of environmental plans and procedures
Support and oversee development of technical specifications, calculation packages, basis of design report, and design drawings for sediment remediation projects
Support proposal, project schedule and cost estimate development
Interpret CQC/CQA data and troubleshoot to improve production rates
Prepare technical report deliverables, including data evaluation, interpretation, and presentation
Mentor and train junior staff

Required

Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related field required
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-hour refresher certification required
Minimum 15 years of environmental consulting or related experience
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Highly motivated and customer focused
Ability to work successfully both independently and in a team environment
Project management experience
Excellent technical writing and communication skills, as well as proficiency with MS Office applications
Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
Experience with completion and/or management of sediment RI/FS, remedial design and remedial actions
Experience and knowledge of U.S. EPA, and/or state environmental programs
Passing a criminal background check
Driving on a regular basis. Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good driving record is required

Preferred

Professional licenses or certifications such as Professional Engineer preferred
