Assistant Professor: AI + Education
New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is seeking applications for tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Data Science with a focus on AI + Education. The role involves teaching courses, conducting research, and supporting students at various academic levels.

Responsibilities
Faculty are expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses for the Data Science Department
Conduct research, participate in scholarly activities such as publishing papers, presenting work at conferences, and obtaining funding; advise and support graduate, undergraduate and postdoctoral students
Qualification
Required
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree by Summer 2026 in a relevant discipline
Outstanding academic credentials that demonstrate their ability to conduct independent world-class research and attract external funding
The successful candidate is also expected to show a commitment to both undergraduate and graduate education
At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position
