Responsibilities

Serve as a senior resource, applying expertise in virtualization, containerization, Kubernetes, and library specific complex data systems

Experience working with Linux operating systems and directory services such as OpenLDAP, as well as experience with Microsoft Active Directory/Entra

Experience in virtualization, storage, backup systems, and disaster recovery

Experience deploying applications and systems in public cloud environments (Google, Azure, AWS)

Experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD processes, using platforms like GitHub or GitLab

Familiarity with Kubernetes and Container orchestration

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Node.js, HCL, Terraform

Experience supporting client interactions and gathering requirements to ensure effective solutions

Experience collaborating with partners and contributing to solution integration efforts that enhance operational efficiency

Practical experience with automation technologies such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Pulumi

Experience writing and consuming REST APIs and cloud web services like Azure, AWS and GCP

Required

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

8 years of related information technology experience

Experience working with Linux operating systems and directory services such as OpenLDAP, as well as experience with Microsoft Active Directory/Entra

Knowledge of network protocols and theory, including TCP/IP and OSI layers, with a basic understanding of load balancing

Solid knowledge of databases, particularly BigQuery, MySQL, and MS-SQL

Preferred

Specific experience with Folio and/or other library systems is preferred
