Responsibilities
Lead the development and creation of newly founded legal programs and advocacy efforts at CARE Healing Center
Manage and supervise legal programs
Provide guidance and support to staff
Ensure compliance with legal policies
Advocate on behalf of survivors within the legal system
Foster community partnerships
Manage organizational legal matters
Provide training on legal issues related to sexual violence
Qualification
Required
Strong legal expertise, including knowledge of criminal and civil proceedings, legal documentation, and regulations related to sexual violence advocacy
Proven management and leadership skills, including staff supervision, program development, and multi-tasking
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including the capacity to provide legal guidance, conduct training sessions, and collaborate with community partners
Proficiency in legal research, case documentation, and maintaining confidentiality
Dedication to trauma-informed practices and understanding of survivor-centered approaches
Juris Doctor (JD) degree with current licensure to practice law (required)
At least 5 years of experience in legal practice, preferably related to sexual violence or nonprofit work
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to adapt to a hybrid work model
