Production Supervisor

Responsibilities
Organize, direct, and oversee correct and timely completion of production functions
Organize, schedule, and prioritize production functions
Ensure machines are operating properly and are properly maintained
Assist employees with machine operation as required
Oversee and ensure that processes are being completed according to Company standards and specifications
Maintain and drive improvement in Yield, Efficiency and Scrap
Complete related paperwork, reports, and support functions, including monitoring inventory and requisitions as appropriate
Maintain the production schedule provided and inform management of any significant problems or concerns
Update production and inventory records as assigned
Ensure production functions are conducted in accordance with Company policies and procedures, deadlines are met, and work areas are clean, secure, and well maintained
Ensure established production procedures and instructions are followed, and quality and safety standards are met
Review and update production policies and procedures regularly
Assist, direct, and support production personnel, management, and other company personnel as needed by establishing and maintaining good communication
Assist the Production Manager in evaluating the progress and performance of employees and provide suggestions for improved performance
Perform production duties as needed
Keep the Production Manager informed of area activities and of any significant concerns
Identify problems and provide suggestions
Complete special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent, with at least 3-5 years of related production experience, preferably with injection molding, machining, and/or robotics, and at least 2 years of supervisory or lead experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient in Microsoft software suite
Understanding of production standards and procedures
Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization
Ability to interpret various instructions
Ability to perform basic math such as arithmetic and unit conversions
Ability to operate production machinery
Attentive to detail with a quality focused mindset
Strong supervisory abilities
Solid decision-making skills
Cooperative and willing to assist others
Ability to absorb, retain, recall and make good decisions regarding information
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross functional teams
Contributes to a positive work culture that promotes a collaborative work environment
Must be comfortable with a fast paced, rapid change environment and be able to multi-task across projects with excellent organizational skills
