AVP Membership and Community Development
Eglin Federal Credit Union is seeking an AVP Membership and Community Development to lead and monitor membership and community development efforts. The role involves guiding membership initiatives, supervising staff, and enhancing community partnerships to meet organizational goals.

Responsibilities
Guides and supports all membership, community development, and financial education activities
Provide recommendation of approval of educational and promotional content and resources
Assists, supports, and supervises MCD staff and oversees changes to Credit Union’s Charter with regards to field of membership
Supports SVP Membership and Community Development in deepening strategic partnerships with key community leaders on community initiatives for the mutual benefit of Eglin FCU and communities it serves
Promotes Eglin FCU and benefits of membership at chambers, events and through volunteer efforts with professional, business, and community organizations
Evaluates work performance of MCD staff and ensures evaluation accuracy of all related personnel
Recommends personnel for promotion and disciplinary action, as necessary
Oversee and approves leave, community event assignments and MDO territory planning to ensure alignment with Credit Union goals and objectives
Holds periodic staff meetings, conducts quarterly check-ins, and periodically visits staff at community events
Monitors and stay well informed of social, community, and industry news and trends
Brings new and innovative ideas to enhance effectiveness of department and Eglin FCU
Manage the member financial education program and resources
Conducts research and compare financial education vendors across all mediums of instruction and presents to SVP Membership and Community Development to meet the needs of our membership
Develops Action Plans, implements and manages programs of high-impact, high-visibility community involvement
Tracks and measure inputs, outputs, and effectiveness of programs
Inform SVP Membership and Community Development of progress and new developments
Identifies, tracks, and measures effectiveness of established goals and direct impact of engagement, strategic objectives, and brand enhancement
Provides reports on progress, development and recommendations to SVP Membership and Community Development
Collaborates and communicates with the Marketing department to effectively promote Eglin FCU and makes recommendations for sponsorships and philanthropic investments
Qualification
Required
Five years to eight years of similar or related experience
Must have 5 or more years of marketing and public relations experience or a combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
Must be familiar with the Credit Union's operations, policies, and objectives, and be familiar with the credit union movement's philosophy
A bachelor's degree, or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree)
Work frequently involves exercising advanced conflict resolution, giving material presentations, and resolving issues impacting multiple departments or divisions
Role also requires the ability to motivate or influence others as a material part of the role, with a significant level of diplomacy and trust
Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the role and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position
Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and technology skills
Must have excellent writing, communication, facilitation, and public speaking skills
Must be able to analyze detailed reports
Must be able to work on several projects concurrently and plan, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
Must be able to use a personal computer and applications such as Microsoft, Work, Excel, InDesign, PowerPoint, and other programs related to the production of printed materials
Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to work flexible hours
Must be willing to work outside of normal business hours as needed
Must be willing to travel across Credit Union footprint as needed
Must be knowledgeable of the Federal Credit Union Act, NCUA Rules & Regulations pertaining to Membership, Advertising and the Credit Union Bylaws
