Legal Operations Specialist - Contracts Paralegal

The Legal Operations Specialist - Contracts Paralegal will support the Legal Affairs department by managing contracts, invoices, and legal matters while ensuring efficient legal operations.

Responsibilities
Reviewing and revising contracts and ensuring adherence to company policies, other requirements, and conformance to master agreements
Reviewing appropriate terms and conditions, coordinating with internal legal counsel and business units for acceptance of any non-standard agreement terms where necessary
Coordinating and tracking a large volume of contracts and providing advice and guidance regarding contract requests
Communicate understandable strategic advice and guidance to internal procurement teams and business/operational clients of all levels regarding business and legal issues and risks
When escalating contractual issues or risks to Attorneys, provide suitable background on the transaction, concise summaries of the issues and risks, and suggested mitigation strategies
Organizing, analyzing, cross-checking and validating information
Preparing correspondence, checking and editing legal forms and documents for accuracy
Gathering, assembling and analyzing information from a variety of sources to prepare and format contracts and other documents for legal review
Maintaining electronic filing systems for contracts and other legal documents
Performing project administration responsibilities and other assignments as directed
Qualification
Required
Require a minimum of two (2) years of experience within an in-house legal department, law firm, or comparable experience in another support services department
Require a bachelor's degree. Additional relevant experience will be considered on a year-for-year basis in lieu of degree requirement
Preferred
Prefer prior experience or specific knowledge of legal systems and technology, as well as familiarity with non-disclosure agreements
Prefer highly proficient using MSOffice (Outlook, Word, Excel) with the demonstrated ability to learn and use new computer software and systems
Prefer the understanding of and experience with claims, risk management, and/or litigation processes
Prefer knowledge of legal terminology and experience with drafting documents
Prefer demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining documents and formatting, inputting, proof-reading, editing, retrieving, and copying same
Prefer excellent written and verbal communication skills
Prefer excellent time management skills and attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy and success in delivering to key deadlines
