Finance Manager
Neighborhood House is a non-profit agency providing social services, and they are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting budgeting and cash flow management.

Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and reconciliations
Prepare and review financial reports for senior leadership and the Board
Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and forecasting support
Support annual budgeting and ongoing budget monitoring with program leaders
Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, internal controls, and funder requirements
Oversee grant and restricted fund tracking and financial reporting
Lead audit preparation and support required financial filings
Improve financial systems, processes, and documentation to enhance efficiency
Supervise and mentor accounting staff to support strong team performance
Collaborate across departments to promote financial accuracy and accountability
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, fund accounting, and restricted funds
3–5 years of accounting or financial management experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting
At least 2 years of supervisory experience
Demonstrated experience with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting
Experience with grants, contracts, audits, and regulatory compliance
Proficiency with accounting software (Blackbaud preferred) and advanced Excel skills
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality and accountability
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required
Preferred
Master's degree (MBA, MPA, or MS in Accounting/Finance) preferred
CPA or other relevant professional certification strongly preferred
