Sourcing Operations Manager - Nuclear Business

GE Vernova is a leader in the nuclear business and is seeking a Sourcing Operations Manager to contribute to operationalizing their sourcing business vision and strategy. Responsibilities

Manage the sourcing operations team; promote team morale, involvement; encourage excellence in compliance, safety, quality, delivery and cost (SQDC)
Partner with leadership to build a strong sourcing operating rhythm that drives business outcomes
Act as the strategy partner to sourcing leader to ensure a) the strategic initiatives and lean roadmap are aligned with the long-term sourcing strategy and b) ensure all staff have aligned/complimentary strategies to drive the business in accordance with the long-term strategy roadmap
Own the agenda and preparation of sourcing operating rhythms related to key initiatives, monthly operating reviews (MORs), leadership team meetings, all employee sessions, etc. Run operating reviews as requested
Review key sourcing processes with the lens of Lean, to increase efficiency and scalability, with impact on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
On selected initiatives, lead deployment of the full Lean toolbox. VSM, PSR, Projects, Standard Work, Kaizen events driving process efficiency and effectiveness
Develop and manage roadmap to drive organizational improvements on key capabilities that align to the GEV Procurement Maturity Assessment
Lead critical business projects and operational initiatives, from planning to execution
Ensure timelines, budgets and quality standards are met or exceeded
Drive continuous improvement in project delivery
Build and maintain dashboards, reports and KPIs to monitor operational performance
Develop and lead operationalization of appropriate metrics along with KPIs/TTIs for sourcing SQDC priorities
Own sourcing operating rhythms and mechanisms. Provide key output data, metrics and presentations for reporting, operations reviews, and business communications
Create actionable analytics with data that helps the sourcing function proactively solve problems and create customer value
Provide Sourcing support for tools including, but not limited to: Oracle ERP, SSS, Supplier Connect/Onboarding, AP Systems
Use data to drive decision-making and inform strategy, and identify trends and issues through data analysis and recommend improvements
Enable compliance with GE Supplier Compliance Enterprise Standards, including Know your Supplier (KYS), Social Responsibility Guidelines (SRG), Supplier Diversity, 3Ps, etc
Assist in defining and implementing scalable policies and processes to manage sourcing compliance
Oversee programs, processes, and audits to measure and analyze progress towards compliance priorities
Collaborate across teams/functions to support simplification and align sourcing operations with business priorities
Act as sourcing liaison in cross-functional project reviews and collaborate with functional leaders to execute strategies that support customer needs
Interface with customers and regulators as required; ensure sourcing efforts fulfill key customer requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a technical or business curriculum
10 years of professional or military experience in relevant discipline (i.e. sourcing, commercial processes, supply chain, finance, services, engineering, project management, lean)
2 years of sourcing or operations experience
2 years of management experience
Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% (more if working remote)
The preferred work location is on site in Wilmington, NC. Highly qualified remote candidates will be considered. Remote candidates will be expected to be in Wilmington, NC at least 2 weeks per month

Preferred

MBA or Master's degree in business, supply chain, engineering or other relevant degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain strong organization operating cadence and metrics, and drive priorities to completion
Cross-functional leadership experience in Finance, Project Management and/or Supply Chain
Proven change driver with focus on executing efficiently in a complex, diverse, and dynamic cross-functional global team; strong influencing and problem-solving abilities
Proven track record of results using Lean or INPO methodologies
Strong interpersonal, influencing, and leadership skills
Strong leader capable of working successfully in a matrix organization and as part of a cross-functional team to drive impactful results
Strong computer and data visualization and data analytics skills, including Microsoft Suite, Tableau, Smartsheet and Oracle Enterprise Resources Planning System (ERP) systems
Lean and/or Six Sigma certification or equivalent
